Technology can enhance how much a student learn

On February 24th, 2015 the software application that we used was Microsoft Excel. According to Staff, 2015 “Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program included in the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Spreadsheets present tables of values arranged in rows and columns that can be manipulated mathematically using both basic and complex arithmetic operations and function”.

This session was very interesting and engaging because I was taught how to use technology to make my lessons more student-centered and interactive. Furthermore, in this ever changing world, it is important that teachers are fully aware of the new developments and how they can be incorporated in their lessons. One of these new developments is technology. It is accessible and convenient for planning and executing lessons. Microsoft Excel is an effective tool that can be used to teach Mathematics, English, and Social Studies etc.

Assisting others makes the task easier

On February 10,2015, we were told to continue what we had started from the previous week which was creating a blog. Students who had created the blogger they were asked to write their reflective blogs and for those who were not finished creating the blogger had a chance to do so.

Furthermore, I was one of the students who were having difficulty creating the blogger in class. However, I had decided to create the blog in my spare time and write my reflective blogs. Therefore, I had more free time than some of my classmates. During this time I assisted my classmates with personalizing their blogs and connecting with other classmates which I was also having difficulty with. From this EXERCISE I learnt the importance of assisting others because not only was I able to make the task easier for another person but I was able to learn from the person I was  assisting.
